EFEU - Project Outcomes
EFEU Carbon Footprint Calculator
Welcome to the EFEU Carbon Footprint Calculator, a tool developed by the partners of the Emission Free European Universities (EFEU) project. The EFEU project is funded by the Erasmus + program and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), with support from the strategic partnership among four universities:
- the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Germany,
- the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL) in Portugal,
- the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and
the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France (UPHF) in France.
The purpose of this calculator is to assist universities in achieving carbon neutrality. It is specifically designed for universities seeking a scientific, versatile, and user-friendly approach to calculating carbon dioxide emissions. The tool was developed through a comprehensive review of relevant literature and adherence to the requirements outlined by the GHG protocols.
Please feel free to use the tool as needed.Feel free to reach out via email at klaus.homann@dhbw-stuttgart.de or abeo.trotter@dhbwstuttgart.de with any questions or feedback regarding your experience.

Climate Fresk Surveys
Are you interested in measuring the impact of a Climate Fresk Workshop implementation on your students, staff, family or friends?
Drawing from the initial implementation at DHBW-Stuttgart and the review of relevant literature, the EFEU project team has developed two specific surveys - one to be administered before the workshop and one after. These surveys aim to evaluate the game's effectiveness as a tool for knowledge transfer and skill development, assess its potential impact on behaviour and attitudes, and gain insights into participants' experiences.
