Day-Trip to UNESCO wold heritage site "Schloss Neuschwanstein" in Bavaria

The International Office is planning a day-trip to discover the famous Schloss Neuschwanstein. We're inviting incoming exchange students, alumni students as well as buddies to join our trip!

Here are all important facts you need to know:

WHEN? Saturday, September 21st, starting 6.45 a.m. until approx. 8 p.m.

WHERE? Pick-up by bus at student dorm “Heilmannstraße”, return at same location

WHAT? Trip to Hohenschwangau (https://www.hohenschwangau.de/en), visit of Schloss Neuschwanstein with English tour (at 12.45 p.m.) through the castle. We will spend the whole day in the village Hohenschwangau, where you can hike to Marienbrücke for amazing views of the castle, rent a boat on the Alpsee or go swimming (if weather allows). Restaurants and cafés are available as well.
Interested students can visit “Schloss Hohenschwangau” as well – please organize tickets by yourself and make sure your timeline for the day doesn’t overlap with the guided tour in Schloss Neuschwanstein. You'll be required to walk up to the castle individually, walking times and distances are shown on the area map of Hohenschwangau.

HOW MUCH? Incoming students pay a small contribution of 10 EUR per Person in cash before the trip to secure their spot on the bus.

The bus we’ve booked has a maximum capacity. Applications will be evaluated on first-come-first-serve basis. Sign-up is possible starting September 09th at 1 p.m., until September 12th at 1 p.m. All students will receive an information on September 13th if they got a spot on the bus.

Please stop by our office on September 17th between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to pay your 10 EUR contribution in cash. Students who fail to do so, will be taken off the list so other interested students can move up.
